I love this game but it's become a joke.

It's easy to constantly complain about free games but I would have gladly paid real money (like I did for Knights of the Old Republic) for this game. It just doesn't work and the support is terrible. I get the same cut and paste response from DeNa when I submit a claim. I have uninstalled twice and installed on a different devices but have yet to even load the special arena event screen. It now crashes even during normal game play. Check their current ratings on the Google play market... I'm not alone.  I think I'm at the point of deleting the app. Any suggestions on similar alternatives?

To whoever posted this and the many others who feel the same way, you'll find this review interesting: read the one titled "As always, the problems start up at the top". I found it very enlightening and it confirms what we've all come to suspect about DeNA. I don't think this game will ever get better; game quality doesn't appear to be DeNA's priority.

Very enlightening Jackal802, that is too bad, a lot of bad reveiws on there. There is a lot of potential with SWGD but it has really stagnated the past few months, nothing new other than the champions to keep people coming back.   And the frustrations in game play and increased cost of items...really alienates people and is not very smart long term.   I may be looking for a new game this summer...

Wow... Brutal. Thanks for the post Jackal802. It looks like they are a sinking ship. I wonder why LucasFilm would license SW to such a problem filled company. I understand all games have a lifecycle but considering Kashyyk has been "coming soon" for months upon months with several updates that make gameplay worse; I'd say LucasFilm made a mistake. Most of us stick around because we are obviously fans of Star Wars. If Old Ben Kenobi was some random character named "Bold Ned Keboni" I highly doubt we would put up with such shoddy work. I hope the Freemium model goes the way of the floppy disk some day.

I am beyond angry now, it was irritating enough that my ticket for the hondo issue only resulted in 1 copy of Hondo even when I said id gladly trade gems or tokens I have for all 10 copies but now after the Jabba bug after sending in my ticket they only sent me 1 Jabba when I am owed 6. Beyond irritated right now.

I haven't always been nice to support. The support is not timely and often doesn't understand the game. Their glitches create ripple effects affecting competitions and my foothold -- which wasn't a freebie. Frustration shared. I feel for the support agents because they're understaffed and overwhelmed, but I seethe at DeNA for setting them up for such failure and for not offering premium service to customers who pay a premium.

Agreed Jitter... I try not to be rude to support staff but I don't even try email anymore. I've gotten the same cut and paste response so often that it's pointless to send a new claim.  They immediately turned around and made a new event but refuse to fix simple gameplay issues. I still can't even play normal gameplay on my Note 4. I'm patiently waiting but it's like DeNa is employing a scorched earth business strategy - suck as much money from SW fans until they move on to a better product.

Griping aside... Anyone have any pointers on how to improve my stability? I've uninstalled and reinstalled countless times. I still can't finish any maps.

This was probably the most useful support response I received with numerous steps you can try.  It didnt fix my problems but maybe, just maybe they will help someone else.  This is for droid, sorry iphone guys.  How you like dem apples?  Haha.  Here goes:

Many times problems go away with a simple restart of your device, which helps to clear out and make available more system memory.

To restart your device:

Locate and hold the power button down and follow any on screen prompts to shut down your device. Then, wait 30 seconds before holding the button again to turn the device back on.

If that does not resolve the issue, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Don't worry, your game progress is associated with your gamername and  saved to our servers, so this is safe to do. Instructions on how to uninstall can be found here:  https://support.mobage.com/hc/en-us/articles/200390327-How-do-I-log-out-of-my-account-my-account- (the instructions specify Marvel: War of Heroes but the steps are identical for any game).

Lastly, if you are connecting to the game over wifi you may want to try over 3G/4G and test the issue if possible, or if you are connecting over 3G/4G you can try connecting over wifi and testing the issue. You can also check how much available memory you have on your device as this has solved the problem for some players. Try removing some apps, music or other data if your device's memory is almost full.

There is one more troubleshooting step you can try. The following instructions are to uninstall and remove Star Wars as well as all Mobage data from your device.

You will not lose game data as it is saved to the servers, however please use caution and follow the instructions step by step:  1. Tap the “Settings” menu  2. Tap on “Applications”  3. Tap on “Manage Applications”  4. Locate and tap the game to be uninstalled.  5. Tap on “Uninstall”  6. Using a file manager included with your device (or a 3rd party file manager, such as Astro), locate the “.ngmoco” folder  7. Tap and hold the “.ngmoco” folder  8. Tap “Edit”  9. Tap “Delete”

If the ngmoco folder is hidden, view hidden files in Astro:

Go to View  Select Directory Options  Check Show Hidden Files  Tap Apply  The .ngmoco folder should now be viewable.

If you are having trouble with Astro, Rhythm Software is another file manager you can use.

I'd like you to kindly go to the Apps or App Manager section in your device's settings menu, then find Google Play Store and clear the cache. Try to download the app again after this and if it still doesn't work, go back and also clear data. It's not a bad idea to clear the cache of the Downloads Manager app here too. Then try downloading again. If it still doesn't work, repeat the previous steps and then go to the Accounts and Sync settings on your device, remove your Google account and then re-add it. Rebooting your device at this point can also be beneficial before accessing the Play Store again.

If that does not resolve the issue you can try the following steps:

1) Clean game data from: Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications -> Star Wars -> Clear Data  2) Clean game files using My Files app or similar, delete folder: /sdcard/Android/data/com.mobage.ww.a953.Fuzion_Android  3) Launch the game.

I agree with you too drthjitter1.  I don't think its supports fault but the way Dena structures its company.  Seems like there is a disconnect between support staff and the game developers which doesn't make any sense.  They really should just hook up the people who are putting hard earned cash into this freemium game.  I'd hate to admit how much Dena has taken from me....haha.  I knew better than to get hooked on another Dena game but the allure of stars wars grabbed me.
